Order your wedding album by the end of February and save 10%! This applies to albums included in wedding coverage, as well as additional albums for parents, etc. Call or email for details. I just updated my album page, with three new additions — the Tempus Gallery and Optimus flush-mount albums, and the new Green Album, made from 100% recycled materials! Click here to view all of the album options. Coming soon — a flush-mount wedding album made from 100% recycled materials, featuring archival pigment prints on recycled matte-finish paper (standard luster pages optional). Made in the USA, the cost will be 20-40% less than other flush-mount album options. The book is covered in natural fabric in your choice of four colors (yes, “green” is one of them!). Stay tuned for details. I am excited to announce that I am reintroducing the beautiful Leather Craftsmen line of wedding albums to my list of available products. This New York based company has for decades been an industry leader in wedding album design and production. I am equally excited to announce the availability of Finao One flush mount albums, made nearby in Ann Arbor, MI. These albums feature some of the most creative cover options I’ve seen. These new offerings will replace the “Photobook” and “Zookbook” by Zookbinders, which I am discontinuing for the time being. Also new for 2010 is a simplified (I hope!) price structure for wedding albums. The list is here — WEDDING ALBUMS. In addition, I’ve created a Wedding Album FAQ (that’s “Frequently Asked Questions” for the computer novices!) to answer the basic questions about wedding album design and production. Have a Happy New Year! I have always been fascinated with the art of bookbinding, and I made quite a few custom photo books for couples before my shooting schedule just got too busy to allow it. I’ve recently been inspired to begin making a limited number of books once again, and am thrilled to show off my first few samples. The wonderful thing about hand bookbinding is that the options are virtually limitless, allowing me to create albums unlike anything that I might get from a commercial bookbinder. Featured below are my largest book ever (a 13×19 stitch-bound book with individually printed pages, one image per page printed with archival pigments on premium matte paper) and my smallest (a flush-mount album just over three inches square). In addition I’ve created a four by five book cased in oak and art paper, as well as my first “dos a dos.” This unique album is actually two albums mounted back to back (the perfect format to showcase Jessica and Adam’s two-volume design). I will still offer books from Asuka and other commercial bookbinders, but I am very excited to present the Signature Series for those who would like something truly unique. Cover options include paper, fabric, leather, wood and who knows what else, and pages can be matte, luster or glossy, printed on one side or two, bound traditionally or “flush mount” style. Prices are per quote, and I will be limiting orders to two books per month until further notice. Stop by my booth at the Joy Dream Wedding Show at the Marriott in Fort Wayne this Sunday, November 15 to see these books up close.
