A few weeks ago I got to be the Uncle With A Camera! My nephew Wes married his fiancé Jenny, and while I shot mostly video I did take some stills as well: Here are some favorites:
These last few are from my room at the Surrey Motel, outside of Farwell, MI. Each room has a unique theme — I was in the Rock and Roll room! And here is the video: What a wonderful day! Rachel Jahrsdoerfer (simplyrachelphotography.shutterfly.com), Mark Lee (www.provideoonline.net) and I left Fort Wayne at 5:45am on Saturday to begin photographing Anjali and Rahul’s wedding celebration in Southfield, Michigan. The day started with a Hindu ceremony in the Garden Atrium of the Westin Southfield, followed by a Christian ceremony at Hope United Methodist Church and a wonderful reception and dinner back at the Westin.
See the Facebook page for more. Saturday’s wedding took place just a few miles from where I grew up outside of Clare, Michigan. The rain cleared to give us a beautiful afternoon for a countryside ceremony, and our trip to the river in the woods for photos on the bridge was delayed only briefly by an empty gas tank… Congratulations, Angel and Ryan!

More photos on Facebook. Saturday could not have been a better day for a golf course wedding! Lindsey and Chad were married at Birch Valley Golf Course in Sears, MI, with a reception following at the Cadillac Grill in nearby Cadillac. Lots of friends and family at this one (the guitar player is my brother-in-law Rex Raymond — check out Open Range if you like acoustic music and spectacular harmony vocals).
